Hey! Hey you!

The very excellent Lemonrock.co.uk, top-notch website for all things live music-related, has made our song ‘1441 (It’s Only Make-Believe)’ their MP3 of the week. Hurrah!

They said: ‘Instantly catchy pop-rock-blues track with structure, pace, groove, dynamic playing and a great feel overall. Think Garbage meets Chris Rea meets Lush (but with a more heavyweight vocal). Interesting vocal harmonies and memorable guitar riffs make this well worth a listen.’

Not quite sure about some of those references, I must admit, but get on over to the songs tab and listen to ‘1441’ to see if you can come up with some wildly inaccurate would-be influences yourself. But they liked it, and that is very much the point, which cheered me up no end at a time when I was on the physio’s bench after picking up a knock in training. As it were.
